The 7th Pour is the culmination of two decades of service, grounded in the belief that true strength is cultivated over time and shared in community. 

Founded by Spurgeon & Vinita Johnson—proud, retired Veterans of the United States Army—our journey was never just about wine. It was about creating a timeless legacy; a vessel that carries our story, our roots, and our voice. 

Our dream was to transition the principles of Character, Commitment, Courage, and Connection—the four pillars of effective leadership—from the professional field to the family table. Wine became the medium for this mission.

We founded the Strength Through Communities Initiative to ensure that our success as a winery is directly tied to the success and well-being of those who have given the most. For us, every bottle sold is an opportunity to give back to the heroes who protected our freedom.

The name, The 7th Pour, symbolizes the final act—the moment when preparation, perseverance, and passion come together in perfect balance. 

Across cultures, the number seven is a symbol of completeness and divine balance. With each glass, our wines invite you into that sacred moment of celebration and truth.

Our philosophy, rooted in 21 years of military leadership and pastoral guidance, is defined by the 4 C’s. These are the values we instill in our lives, our leadership, and every bottle we craft.
